wdid setup docs
wdid is a local-first Mac app. To sync Slack or Gmail, you create credentials in that provider's console, then paste a few values into the desktop app. These guides walk through the private-beta setup end to end.
Guides
Slack setup
Create a Slack app, add the loopback redirect, request user scopes, install into your workspace, and connect from wdid.
Gmail setup
Create a Google Cloud Desktop OAuth client, enable the Gmail API, paste the client ID into wdid, and authorize in the browser.
Privacy
What stays on your machine, what may leave it when you sync or use AI, and what we do not collect.
In the app
After setup, open Sources (or onboarding), save the provider credentials, then use Connect Slack or Connect Gmail. Tokens stay encrypted on your Mac; they are never written into your workspace folder.
